Alex T. Anderson, Ph.D. is Director of the MS program in Architectural History and Theory at University of Washington. He teaches in the areas of architectural history, theory, representation, and design. Professor Anderson received a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University, and an M Arch., MS Arch., and PhD in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He has published books and papers on modernism, with particular focus on domestic interiors, the modern house, and factory-built housing. He has also published essays on architectural representation, eating and architecture, and modern product design.
