Amanda joined the MSdc program in the autumn of 2010, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Design at The Ohio State University. She has worked as a furniture designer, specializing in digital manufacturing, as well as a digital design consultant. Her research at the UW focused on generative design, materiality, and digital fabrication.

In addition to being a member of the DMG, she was a research assistant at the UW Integrated Design Lab. At the IDL she is assisting with sustainable design research focusing on dynamic facade systems.

Amanda graduated in Spring, 2013. Her thesis committee chair was Kimo Griggs.
