Kristen joined the DMG in 2019. She completed her thesis in 2021 on Enabling Equitable Design in Architecture: Tool Development for Actionable Information with the help of her chair, Tyler Sprague, along with Dean Renee Cheng and Mahlum architect Elijah Coley. Following graduation, she took a position as a research analyst at Facebook Reality Labs.
