Matt joined the DMG in autumn, 2012, as a student in the MS program in Design Computing after completing the certificate program in Digital Design & Fabrication in 2011. Matt received his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from Ottawa's Carleton University in 1994. He joined Boeing in 1997 and has had a nomadic career there as a model maker, illustrator, graphic designer, web & database designer, and currently a laser sintering specialist in the Rapid Prototyping & Modeling (RPM) Lab.

His interest is in developing training and curriculum for "Design for Additive Manufacturing." He graduated in Summer, 2016. His thesis chair was Kimo Griggs.
