About

Virtual Tours of interesting places - historic, architecturally important, and even imaginary buildings are engaging, interactive, and informative learning resources. They can also be challenging to build. Based on our experience building the Ceren Virtual Archaeology Site and the Hagia Sophia Web Resource (see link), the PlaceMaker Project offers a tool for architects, historians, and educators to assemble an interactive multimedia web site that documents a place with panoramic pictures, interpretive text, and a 'you-are-here' base map.
