Tangible User Interfaces > Gizmo

About

Mice and keyboards represent a limited palette of interaction with a computer. Often, as when making a presentation, the use of a special purpose device-a gizmo- can greatly enhance the interaction. Wireless gizmos can also be shared amongst a number of users, allowing the boundary layer between physical and digital realms to be eroded.

This project aims to explore a number of different tools in this area. The first device a six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) Bluetooth wireless device [nick-named "Gizmo"], has proved remarkably compelling. The related project, WiiView, explores use of a Wii remote, also a Bluetoothdevice.
