Handyboard MX - (Modular eXtension)
This project aids in prototyping smart / reactive environments by creating a system of modular physical and digital components. The kit is composed of a standard set of sensors and actuators and reusable code fragments. Using the handyboard as the controller, the sensors and actuators are easily combined and plugged-in using a system of rj-12 jacks and plugs. A set of reusable code functions that are easily woven together provides a quick and easy way for students and researchers that are exploring topics of ubiquitous and pervasive computing to quickly prototype and program their ideas.
